First night w 9 week old puppy and she’s crying in the crate

After we placed her in the travel carrier she had been using to sleep before we arrived, she became much more peaceful and was able to sleep for short bursts of time. I suppose we will make use of that before trying to move her from there to the crate.

Does she cry every time I take her outside? And simply add her back in whenever she feels well after that? then carry on again? So how can I sleep at all?

When she gradually grows more acclimated to the box, should I allow her to sleep in our bed?

What are you doing at night in the beginning?

We had two puppies and figured they’d be happy sleeping in the same kennel because they had each other. However, the male puppy continued to cry. We decided to wait and hope he would finally stop, but he did not, so we had to turn to plan B.

We moved the containers into our bedroom and positioned them right next to our bed. This worked, and he eventually stopped weeping.

They did not sleep in our bed as puppies, but now that they are older and less prone to accidents, they like it. We even had to purchase a larger bed to accommodate them.

We tested two techniques:
First, wait until the puppy falls asleep before gently placing her in the crate. The second way is to sit in front of the crate until she falls asleep. This helps the puppy recognise that she is not alone, even if she is not yet out of the crate. You may have to tolerate some whining for a while, but it will eventually subside. Just be patient and consistent.

I recently got a new puppy four days ago. She had a tough first two nights of sleep, but she is much better today. I slept by the crate the first two nights.
