Hey all, my 5-month-old sheepadoodle Zola got into some human holistic pills (about 55 of them!) called simply hypothalamus. She might have also eaten a bit of glass. I gave her some peroxide, and she threw up a decent amount. She seems fine now, actually playing around, but IDK… should I be worried or take her in?
Yikes, that sounds scary! Good call on the peroxide. Did you see any glass in what she threw up?

Nope, just solid stuff. Not sure if it was kibble or the pills, though.

Well, if she’s not showing signs of pain or anything weird, she might be okay. Just keep an eye on her!
My vet once told me holistic supplements like that aren’t usually too dangerous since they’re food-based. But yeah, watch for any tummy issues or if she starts acting off.

Good to know! She’s acting her usual mischievous self, so I’m hoping it’ll be okay.
I’d just keep an eye on her. If she ate glass, you might see symptoms like vomiting or a lack of appetite.

Got it. So far, she’s totally normal, but I’ll definitely keep a close watch.
If she keeps acting like her usual self, you’re probably in the clear. Holistic pills are usually more food-based and less harmful.

Totally agree. My dog ate a whole pack of vitamins once and was fine.

Thanks! Fingers crossed she’ll be okay.
If you’re still worried, maybe ask your vet about giving her a stomach acid reducer. It could help with any nausea from the pills.

Good idea, I’ll look into that if she starts looking unwell. Thanks!
