Hey, I have a mini schnauzer named Rufo and I want him to participate in the National Dog Show in Philadelphia. He’s very obedient, knows commands like sit, stay, and come. But IDK where to register him for the event. Anyone have any tips on how to get him in?
Hey! First thing, Rufo needs to be registered with a recognized dog registry, like the AKC (American Kennel Club). Have you done that yet?

Yeah, he’s already registered, but I’m not sure where to sign him up for the show itself.

Oh, cool! You can actually register him online through this link: InfoDog - The Dog Fancier's Complete Resource for information about AKC Dog Show Events, and Dog Products and Services. That should get you started!
Sounds like Rufo is well trained already! I’ve never entered a dog show, but I know you’ll need to get all his health records ready. They usually ask for that stuff.

Thanks! I do have his health records ready, just needed to know where to register him. Appreciate it!
Just make sure you check the exact deadlines for registration. You don’t want to miss that. Also, don’t forget to prep Rufo for the event environment!

Good point, I’ll double-check the dates. And I’ll start working on getting him used to the crowd and the setup. Thanks!
You’re doing great! If you ever need tips on dog training or showing, there are some good resources online. Just be sure Rufo is in his best shape before the big day!

I’m working on it! He’s pretty fit, but I’ll keep up the training. Thanks for the support!
Here’s a tip: Try to find a local trainer who specializes in dog shows. They can give Rufo some extra pointers on what to expect during the event!

That’s a good idea! I’ll look for one near me. Thanks for the suggestion!
