How do we understand the Therapy of Dog Training?

Hi People,

I’m interested in learning more about therapy dog training and how to get started. Can anyone share information on what therapy dog training involves? What are the requirements for a dog to become a therapy dog, and how can I find reputable training programs or resources? Also, if you have any personal experiences or tips for preparing a dog for therapy work, I’d love to hear them.

A dog is usually not suitable for service dog training until it is at least 12–14 months old. A puppy intended for service dog work must first undergo basic training in areas including bite inhibition, walking on a loose leash, and coming when called, in addition to being well-socialized and housebroken.
