How is your dog bathed?

My four-month-old puppy and I are now training her to go in the shower so I can wash her. Thus far, she will enter, sit for a minute, and then want to leave again. I’m taking it slow and training for a little while every day. She mostly just serves the food and sweets while she’s inside.

When she grows up, I think she’ll weigh 30 kg.

How should a huge breed dog be bathed and cleaned? Do they take a shower after this? The bathtub? In such a case, how would you get them to get in the bath? Do you wash them outside?

My puppy likes to swim in creeks, dams, and lakes, so I’m considering giving up on the shower and trying to wash her in the bathtub.

I give my dog an outdoor wash when the weather permits. My furry mess is too big when I do it in the tub and he weighs 85 pounds.

When I take my 50-pound dog for a bath, I simply raise his front two legs into the tub, and he walks the remaining distance while he just stands there and lets me wash him. When we’re done, he simply exits the tub and shakes. Baths don’t excite him, but they also don’t bother him; they just sort of happen to him and he just stands there. Since he enjoys jazz music, I occasionally put it on in the background if he’s been acting extremely nervous lately.

Your dog’s love of jazz has brightened my day :joy:

Yeah, I realized that when I was strolling past the White House, he became quite excited and I started to play jazz music to calm him down :slightly_smiling_face:

Dogs are really funny creatures :joy: :joy:
