If your dog can lie down in the middle of the crate with a few inches of room in front and behind it, stand up with a few inches of space above its head, and spin around inside the crate, then the crate is large enough for your dog.
In certain cases, an overly spacious crate may give your dog the impression that it has adequate space to relieve itself within.
Although this crate appears good to me, the perspective isn’t exactly ideal for eyeballing.
Excellent suggestions for determining size, but I believe the notion that a container may be too large is limited to pee training. My puppies spend the night in their crates, so I made sure to get the largest size and utilize a divider until they were trained to go potty.
It looks good, add some bedding, and please take off all collars and harnesses before kennel your dog because they can get caught and strangle them.
Depending on the dog, bedding may or may not be a good idea, but it was the bedding that required my first emergency visit to the veterinarian after my dog ate the filling and bedding. The vet advised leaving the box empty and warned me that using a towel instead of bedding could be worse.
