Hello y’all…
I’m looking for some advice regarding my dog’s behavior after he recently underwent BOAS surgery and neutering. Since his recovery, I’ve noticed a significant change in his behavior. Specifically, he has started biting his leash at the end of our walks, which wasn’t an issue before.
Hey!
It’s normal for dogs to change behavior after surgery. You might want to check if he’s feeling uncomfortable, as that could be a factor. Redirecting his energy by bringing a toy or treat during walks can help. Shorter walks might also ease him back into his routine. Lastly, rewarding calm behavior can reinforce positive habits. If the biting continues, consider consulting your vet. Good luck!
