I am considering adopting my first dog and lately I’ve been researching on dog behavior and training. However, I’m wondering if there are any great online courses or video series that provide a step-by-step guide for effective training. I’ve seen videos on individual skills like “come” and “leave it,” but I’m hoping for a complete set of training tips, from beginner to intermediate. I’ll really appreciate suggestions and recommendations on where I can get nice training material.
Hey Gianna, This Youtube channel I came across as a first time dog owner really helped me a lot. Maybe you should check it out too. Here’s the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztdLn3TTSZw All the best I am sure you’ll love it.
I agree with the video tutorials, but don’t you think as a first timer she might need to work with a certified trainer for some time?
Besides this suggested channel… Do you consider getting a puppy? If so, then you can check out McCann Dog Training on YouTube. They have some interesting content for training pups. It really helped me out with my puppy. currently, she’s 13 months old and very well behaved.
I think it’s best you enroll to a dog training class and then practice on your friends’ or sibling’s dog. This is it is more practical. Alternatively, you can opt to get the dog then hire a professional trainer.
