While sifting through the stations yesterday, I stumbled upon DogTV. Although my dogs have shown signs of reacting to sounds on television in the past, I didn’t even realize that dogs “watched” television until I came across this station.
Right, so what is DogTV? Do dogs find this enjoyable in reality? Is there any way that it helps puppies?
Although I had serious doubts, Rufus required six weeks of restricted exercise (split paw pad). The’relax my dog’ ones seemed to truly assist, after splitting the staples holding the paw pad together. And thus we discovered that Rufus enjoys classical music. So anytime I’m out, I turn on vintage FM on the radio.
I had YouTube videos playing at first. He would jump up and try to play or chase his tail when the music ended, then he would fall over again when the next track was played.
My dog observes Earth. He even watches the shows about the ocean. You can download these for free from YouTube. It’s preferable to being silent while you’re away. The dog TV stuff doesn’t appeal to him. He becomes quite nervous about one at the dog park, especially when they toss the ball and he is unable to catch it. Stupid soul.
Dog TV is a TV channel designed for dogs, offering content that engages and comforts them, such as calming visuals and soothing sounds. It’s intended to reduce anxiety and provide mental stimulation while owners are away.
