Opinions on Anti Bark Collars?

What are your thoughts on anti-bark collars for dogs?

I am interested in understanding the potential benefits and drawbacks of using them. Are they an effective solution for managing excessive barking, or do they pose any risks or ethical concerns?

Any personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Anti-barking collars should not be used on dogs in my opinion. The collars are meant to punish the dog for every bark. But what if the dog was barking due to fear or anxiety? This could make it worse for them leading to further complications.

Bark collars don’t help your dog learn how to behave properly. You also can’t control what your dog will think when it feels the collar’s stimulation.

Telling a puppy not to bark is like telling a little kid to sit still. They need more than just “don’t do that.” You need to teach your dog good habits. Use a phrase to interrupt the barking and then reward any other behavior he shows you.

Bark collars can aggravate a dog’s behavior, superstitions, and hypersensitivity in addition to being cruel.

How much daily activity does this dog receive? How does that exercise appear? What types of mental stimulation are you offering? How have you trained your dog to behave in different ways?
