I have come across contradicting information on the internet on the “optimal age,” which seems to range from 7 to 9 weeks.
How about it, guys?
Mostly, I am attempting to decide between eight and nine weeks.

I think it depends on the dog breed.
I adopted my Japanese Spitz/Maltese breed when he was 2 months old.
At first, he was really afraid and tiny. But after three days in the house, he became acclimatized to the surroundings.
My dog’s vet told me that puppies should stay with their mothers for at least eight weeks. This is called the fear period, where the puppy is anxious and getting a feel of the world. Also at 8 weeks of age, most puppies can eat well and no longer need to nurse.
It makes sense to choose between 8 and 9 weeks. Make sure the puppy is socialized, weaned, and prepared to be separated from its littermates. Give health and socializing more importance than a certain age.
The generally agreed-upon optimal age for a puppy to be separated from its mother and littermates is around 8 weeks old.
