I have an issue where my dog only bites one member of the family, and I am not sure why this is occurring. The dog seems to get along quite great with all the other dogs. Is there a connection between this and fear, a particular behavior trigger, or anything else? How can this be resolved so that the dog acts more consistently toward everyone?
If your dog is only chewing on one member of the family, it’s probably because they don’t trust or associate that person negatively with fear or anxiety. Alternatively, perhaps they are simply attempting to protect their valuables, like as food or a toy.
So, in this case, what’s the way to go? Would it be appropriate to keep the person away from him or how best should the issues be handled? This is the exact case with my dog and my boyfriend every time he visits.
